Past Concerts

August 2026

Phoenix Mandolins also had a concert in August at the bandstand. It was a fairly small one, and as I didn't really end up with much time to practise for it I was largely sight-reading. Still, a good show that my sight-reading skills have improved, because I still managed it fine, apart from a few obvious mistakes (like forgetting to play the coda the second time around on one of the pieces; and then we did the same pieces for the second half and I forgot the coda, again) but other than that was good fun.

May 2026

My first ever concert, with Phoenix Mandolins was on 27th May at lunchtime. I was initially a little worried about it, but once it got to the day I found that it was just really enjoyable, and actually the hour went by far too quickly!
